It is the better designed for the person with neck pain, stiffness or one who likes more support and height of the pillow. The Gel Infused Memory Foam is without question softer and generally speaking, more comfortable at first glance. With its gel infused beads, it still has much more support and pushback than the typical old memory foam but does not express as much resiliency and support as the Latex.
